Our New Community Rock Choir was started by
Steve Flashman who has a background in the music and media
business and he works alongside our Vocal coaches, Lesley
and Richard to make music come alive in Chichester. Big
thanks also to John who handles administration
and Pete our sound technician

You are welcome to join our
New Community Choir. We are NOT in this to make money.
Steve, Lesley, Richard and John are all volunteers. There are no auditions and it's free!
(Although we do ask for a small donation of £7 per person
for each term - which equals £21 for the whole year! This
helps with our admin costs). We meet every Tuesday at
7.00pm in the new Community Venue in Chichester: Graylingwell Chapel on the Graylingwell Park
Estate
next to the University.

Choirs are back! Made famous by the
TV Show “Last Choir Standing”,
rock choirs are springing up all over
the country. So why not join the first New
Community ‘Rock’ Choir in Chichester.
No auditions, open to all, free to join, meet new
people, enjoy singing gospel, soul and rock anthems.
Our first New Community
Choir rehearsal on Tuesday 7th September was
brilliant! We got to know each other, Richard (one
of our Vocal Coaches) led us in a warm up session
then Lesley (our other Vocal Coach) got us going
with a great rendering of "Zipperdedooda!"
Among the first songs in our "repertoire"
were the
classic rock song by Bill Withers, "Lean On Me", the
hit song made famous by Shrek(!) and the X Factor's
Alexandra Burke, "Hallelujah" and the old hymn which
made TV's "Last Choir Standing" so popular with a
stunning performance by Men Aloud, the Male Voice
Choir - "Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah".
We have added a number of classic songs to our
repertoire: "From A Distance", Sister Act's,
"Joyful, Joyful", Titanic's, "My Heart Will Go On",
Abba's "Mamma Mia!", the Beatles, "Let It Be" and
"In The Bleak midwinter."
Do feel free to invite friends along to join us
every Tuesday night, 7.00 to 9.00 at Graylingwell
Chapel, the new community events venue in
Chichester.
